About

One person in the account, not a department

PipelineOS is run by Marcus from Chandler's Ford near Eastleigh in Hampshire. When you call the number on this site, that is who answers, and that is who is in your Google Ads account on a Tuesday morning.

In short

PipelineOS is run by Marcus from Chandler's Ford, Hampshire. He personally manages the accounts; there is no media buying team and no account management layer. It is the sister agency of Mecosse, which is the older of the two and carries most of the measured advertising work in scaffolding, roofing, glazing and surfacing.

Why this exists

Most agencies serving trade businesses are built to be sold rather than to work. A salesperson wins the account, a junior runs it, and the report is generated from a template on the last Friday of the month. Nobody in that chain has ever spoken to a scaffolder about why a fourteen-day hire in a conservation area is a different job to a driveway lift.

The alternative model — lead-selling platforms — is worse. They resell the same enquiry to four firms and let the market do the qualifying. You end up competing on price against people whose overheads you do not know, for a customer who has already been called three times before you rang.

PipelineOS is deliberately small. Fewer clients, each one worked on directly. That caps how big this can get, which is fine. It also means the person who sold you the work is the person doing the work, and there is nowhere for a bad month to hide.

What we will not do

  • Sell shared leads. Everything is generated in your own account and belongs to you exclusively.
  • Mark up ad spend. A percentage fee gives an agency a reason to spend more of your money. Ours is flat.
  • Hold your accounts. Google Ads, Meta, the website files, the domain, the conversion history — yours, permanently, whatever happens between us.
  • Report on vanity metrics. Impressions and reach do not put scaffold on a building. Enquiries and cost per enquiry do.
  • Take work we cannot do well. If your budget is too small, your margins too thin or your sector genuinely does not have search demand, we will say so on the first call.

Marcus

Founder

Marcus has spent his career on the performance side of marketing — Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO and the websites and CRM systems that sit behind them. He founded and runs Mecosse, and works predominantly with trade and construction firms: scaffolders, roofers, glaziers, groundworkers and surfacing contractors across the UK and Ireland.

He personally manages the accounts. There is no media buying team and no account management layer, which is the point.

Where we are

Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Hampshire.

We serve clients across the whole of the UK and Ireland. If you would like someone to physically turn up at the yard, that is realistic across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, West Sussex and Berkshire.

The three guarantees

Transparency. You see every pound of ad spend and what it produced.

Measurement. Success is judged on qualified enquiries and return, not activity.

Ownership. Every account, asset and file is yours from day one.

How PipelineOS and Mecosse fit together

PipelineOS is the sister agency of Mecosse. Same founder, same people, same standard of work. They are not two firms bidding against each other, and you are not being passed between them.

The split is by job, not by department:

  • Mecosse is the older of the two and the one most of the measured advertising work sits under: scaffolding, roofing, glazing and surfacing campaigns across the UK and Ireland. The campaign screenshots and client logos used as proof on this site come from that work, with the original campaign names left visible rather than cropped out.
  • PipelineOS is the wider build: the same paid search discipline, plus websites, SEO, AI search and the CRM automation that catches an enquiry after the click. It covers fifty-two sectors rather than the four that Mecosse is known for.

Why it matters to you in practice: when this site cites a result, it comes from a real account someone here actually ran, which is why the results page names the campaigns it is drawing on instead of showing anonymous percentages. And when a job is genuinely better served by the other side of the business, you get told that rather than sold this one.

If you already deal with Mecosse, nothing changes and you do not need a second point of contact. Same number, same person: 07443 392243.

How it runs

What a week inside your account looks like

“One person in the account” is an easy line to put on a website, so it is worth saying what it buys you and what it costs you.

It buys you the absence of a brief. Nothing has to be written down for somebody else to interpret, because nobody else opens the account. When you mention on a Tuesday that commercial jobs pay three times what domestic ones do, the person who heard it is the person moving the bids on Wednesday. That handover gap is where most agency accounts quietly lose their edge.

It costs you scale. Only so many accounts can be read properly every week, and reading them properly is the whole job. Capacity is set by arithmetic rather than ambition, so sometimes the honest reply to a new enquiry is that there is no room this month.

It also costs you cover. One person takes holidays and catches flu; a twenty-person agency has a bench. If that matters more than having the operator answer the phone, hire the bigger firm. That is a legitimate trade, better made deliberately.

The rhythm

  • Weekly. Search terms read by hand, negatives added, budget nudged towards what produced enquiries rather than traffic.
  • Monthly. A report you are meant to argue with, bad parts included. What goes on it is fixed in advance.
  • When something breaks. A phone call, not a ticket. You hear it from us before you notice it yourself.
  • Quarterly. Whether the channel mix still suits the business, which occasionally ends in proposing less spend.

None of it is clever. It is simply done on schedule, which is the part most underperforming accounts are missing.

What we claim, and what we deliberately do not

There is no wall of certification badges here, no “trusted by 300+ businesses” counter and no awards shelf — not because such things are always false, but because each is easy to type and impossible for you to check.

So here is the whole of it. Marcus founded this agency and still runs it, from Chandler's Ford in Hampshire. The work is predominantly with trade and construction firms. He is the person in the accounts and the person on the phone. That is the complete list of things you are asked to take on trust, and it is short on purpose.

Everything else is checkable rather than asserted. The screenshots on the results page are uncropped, campaign names left in frame, and open live on a screen share. The methodology page sets out how an account gets built and where the approach fails. The benchmarks page attaches a publisher, year and sample to every third-party figure on this site. Those pages are the argument; this one is the introduction.

Who this is a bad fit for

A fair share of these conversations end in a no, and it is better for everyone if that happens on the phone in twenty minutes rather than in month four.

Where the arithmetic will not close

  • Low job values on thin margins. There is a ceiling on what an enquiry can cost, and in competitive trades clicks may sit above it. Run your own on the cost per lead calculator first.
  • Almost no local search demand. Good structure still only gets the chances that exist, and no budget manufactures demand.
  • Money that must work immediately. The first weeks are when you pay to find the searches that never convert.

Where the working relationship will not

  • You want guaranteed lead numbers. Nobody controls search volume. A guarantee is either padded until safe or counting something that is not an enquiry.
  • Enquiries will sit unanswered. More advertising then just increases the number of people you disappoint.
  • You want a reassuring report. This works when the bad numbers get said out loud.

What actually happens on the first call

No deck, no discovery framework, no second call with a different person on it. Twenty to thirty minutes, built so either of us can end it with a no and nothing has been wasted.

  1. You describe the business, not your marketing

Which jobs you would take more of, which ones you accept when things are quiet and resent later, how far you will really travel, and how work arrives now. Most of what decides this is commercial rather than technical.

  2. The arithmetic gets done out loud

Job value, rough margin, how many quotes become work. Those three set the ceiling on what an enquiry may cost, said on the call rather than posted in a document a week later.

  3. Demand gets checked in your actual patch

Whether people search for what you sell inside the radius you would really drive, not a national figure that flatters everyone.

  4. We ask what happens to an enquiry today

Specifically, what happens when the phone rings and nobody can answer. That one question often moves the recommendation towards follow-up before any advertising.

  5. You get a recommendation and a number

Which service first, in what order, and what the spend alongside it should realistically be. If the answer is to do nothing, or to do it yourself from the guides, you get that instead.

No obligation, and no sequence chasing you for a fortnight afterwards. Ring or message and we will have the conversation whether or not there is a job in it.
