Privacy policy
PipelineOS (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you call, email, message us on WhatsApp or complete an enquiry, we collect your name, company, phone number, email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your business.
Information collected automatically. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and, where you consent, analytics data about how the site is used.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote — our legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted us.
- To deliver services if you become a client — performance of a contract.
- To improve this website — legitimate interest, and consent for non-essential analytics.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not pass enquiries to other companies. We use a small number of processors to run the business — email hosting, our CRM and website hosting. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. Where you have allowed analytics, Google Ireland Limited processes the site usage data described under Cookies and analytics below.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 24 months. Client records: for the duration of the engagement plus six years, to meet UK accounting requirements.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Call or message 07443 392243 and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
Nothing on this site is set without your say-so except what is needed to serve the pages.
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which
pages get read. It is switched off until you press Allow on the banner. Until
then, and permanently if you press No thanks, Google Analytics sets no cookies
and stores nothing on your device: the site runs with analytics storage denied
through Google's Consent Mode. Your choice is remembered in your own browser's
local storage under the key pos_consent, which never leaves your
device and is not readable by us.
If you do allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and
_ga_<id> to tell one visit from another. They expire after
two years. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use Google Analytics for
advertising: advertising and personalisation storage are denied in all cases,
consented or not, and no data from this site is used to build advertising
audiences.
To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
Videos
Some pages carry a recorded walkthrough hosted by Loom. The video does not load when the page loads: what you see until you press play is a still image served from this site. Nothing is requested from Loom, and Loom sets nothing on your device, unless you click play. If you do, Loom receives the request as it would for any embedded video and applies its own privacy policy.
That choice is deliberate. An embed that loads on arrival would make a third-party request on behalf of every visitor, including the ones who never watch it.
Everything else
There are no other third-party scripts on this site. No advertising pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps, no chat widget, no fonts loaded from anyone else's server.
